HOW CAN WordSmart HELP?
Learning the vocabulary words is an important step in maximizing your Critical Reading of PSAT/SAT.
Students who earn high scores on SAT are the students who know the right words.
In this class students will:
- View a PowerPoint for each word. (See below for example)
This image approach allows students not only to recall the meaning but also retain the words already learned.
- Learn words in related groups, which makes it easier to recall the word.
-Test after each class with BINGO and written quizzes - (these are cumulative.)

Friday classes (Home school)
Location: Crofton, MD
Dates: September 9, 2016 - April 28, 2017
30 Weeks
Grades: 6 - 12
Time: 11:00 - 12:00
2:30 - 3:30 pm
Cost: $300 per year /per class
Materials fee: $20 student notebook (payable 1st day of class)
*(Each student will receive a white spiral notebook containing all SAT vocabulary words with page protectors)
Credit: 1/2 English Credit
Requirements: Students memorize 25 words per week and complete written quizzes for homework.
Verbal tests will be given at the end of every class period and a comprehensive final at the end.
To receive 1/2 English High School Credit, students must have 60 hours of study time.

Tuesday
Location: Crofton
Time: 7:00 - 8:30 pm.
Age: Grades 6 - 12
Date: 4 available sessions
Session 1: September 9 - October 18 (Wordlist 1 - 11)
Session 2: October 25 - December 13 (Wordlist 12 - 22)
Session 3: January 10 - February 21 (Wordlist 23 - 33)
Session 4: February 28 - April 11 (Review Test 1 - 33)
Cost
▪ $ 120 per student ▪ $105 for additional children
Additional fees
- Classroom materials: $20 per student (payable on first day of class)
